The Imperial Valley’s growing wireless mesh communications community has another exciting development! Amateur radio operator KM6YPQ has installed a new solar-powered MeshCore repeater in Imperial, California, helping expand opportunities for long-range, decentralized LoRa communications throughout the area.
The new repeater is mounted on an elevated mast above a residential rooftop, providing a favorable location for radio communications across the surrounding area.
This installation is another positive step toward building a stronger community-based mesh network in Imperial Valley, connecting radio enthusiasts, experimenters, and residents interested in independent wireless communications.
